The domaine

Le domaine est jeune avec ces premiers ares de vignes plantés en 2011 sur un coteau de Saint-Joseph autrefois cultivé par mon grand-père. L'histoire se poursuit avec bientôt la replantation total de ces terres de famille vierges. Aujourd'hui le domaine atteint 3 hectares sur l'appellation Saint-Joseph et Vin de France.


The vines

Les vignes : Syrah, Gamay, Chasselas, Marsanne, Roussanne et Viognier constituent l'encépagement. Une partie plantée en coteau sur l'appellation Saint-joseph avec une densité comprise en 7 et 10000 pieds/hectare. Treuil, traction animal et pioche s'activent pour entretenir les sols pentus. L'autre partie est conduite sur palissage avec une densité de 5000 pieds/hectare. Le travail des sols se fait au tracteur. Les vignes sont traitées à l'aide de plantes, prèle, ortie, consoude, camomille additionnées à des doses faibles de cuivre et de soufre.


Winemaking

La vinification se fait de façon simple, les rouges sont souvent en vendange entière, et les cuvaisons sont courtes d'une à deux semaines. Les blancs sont en pressurage direct même si des essais de macération pelliculaire sont menés. Les vins sont ensuite logés dans des amphores et des demi-muids pour des élevages entre 6 mois et 18 mois.
